African Elephant Conservation Fund: Elephants capture our imagination, but poaching and loss of habitat have taken their futurehostage, The Afican elephant population has shrunk dramatically, and while conservation eforts have stabilized the elephantp\u6c15\u5cec\u978b\u4e3a\u5099\u5c81p\u640b\u9b91\u80b2\u8c0f\u6f71\u90e8la\u9c6d\u00dai\u9e39\u92d2\u74d2\u54e8n in southern Africa, much remains to be done.
Asian Elephant Conservation Fund: Asian elephants also face habitat issues. Conservation efforts have assisted in developingland use strategies that will benefit both man and animal, allowing both to flourish together.

Marine Turtle Conservation Fund: For more than 100 milion years, the ancestors of marine turtles swam the oceans. Yet in lessthan a century, exploitation and habitat destruction have devastated their numbers. Conservaion projects work toward the goal ofrestoring large numbers of these ancient, intriguing creatures to the world’s oceans.
Derry Noves served as the art director, designer, and typographer for the stamp. She worked with arist Nancy Stahl to developone powerful ilustration to svmbolize the plight of all of these imperiled animals. The Amur tiger cub shown in the stamp art is oneof five tiger subspecies. When full grown, this cat can weigh up to 650 pounds and measure 13 feet from its nose to the tip of itstail.
